Jim Orjalla reported on the West Berkeley Plan. He is working with Darcy and (several others) to propose alternatives to several plan provisions. His focus is to use the plan to make it more difficult to site auto related businesses, and encourage neighborhood serving businesses.

Jim also pointed out that changes in the zoning process would double the size of the business before public input before the Zoning Adjustments Board would be required. His assessment is that very few businesses along San Pablo would be greater than the new threshold.
